Foreign CurrencyWhether you travel for work or for pleasure, you can obtain foreign currency before your departure at any of SLFCU's branch locations, by phone or through CU@home® secure email. Currency from over 70 countries is available. Your foreign currency will be ready to be picked up at the SLFCU branch location of your choice, in most cases by the next business day. Exchange rates may vary. Fees and delivery charges will apply for purchases and returns.
You may also purchase from $200 to $1500. Currencies from several countries in different denominations are available. Coinage is not available.
Currency is shipped to you via UPS.
When your travel is complete and you would like to return unused paper currency, bring it to the most convenient branch to have your account credited or use the handy self-mailer and receive a check for the funds in the mail. Coinage is not returnable.
