Dollars & Sense
April

Getting your monthly statement online is a smart choice with some important benefits.

•  It’s safer. There’s no envelope to get lost – or worse – stolen from your mailbox.

•  It’s secure. The CU@home® servers are protected by state-of-the-art technology and industry leading people and practices.

•  It’s faster. You can log on and get your statement days before it could be printed and mailed.

•  It helps your member-owned Credit Union operate more efficiently and pay more back to members. Our recent $3 million Special Dividend came directly from expenses saved in this way.

•  It’s good for the environment, saving paper, water and energy used by printed statements.

Plant a tree
And now, SLFCU is working with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree for every member who enrolls in eStatements from April through August 2008. The trees will be planted in a national forest area devastated by wildfires and insects. Visit www.arborday.org for more about their important programs.

How to enroll
Log on to CU@home® computer home banking and click on the “Statements” tab near the top. Then click “activate/deactivate eStatements” and complete the short form. We’ll send a notice each month to the email address you provide alerting you that your statement is ready to view in CU@home. For security, we never email the statement itself.

Your statements are stored safely, and you can view any month up to 18 months past. (If you need a statement earlier than 18 months, just give us a call.) If at any time you decide you want to get paper statements mailed again, simply click the “activate/deactivate eStatements” link again.

Help us help our environment and our national forests. And help yourself to convenience and security.
