Preparation Checklist
We recognize that this consolidation may feel like a big change – and we’re here to help. Below are things you can do to help make the consolidation process a smooth transition with minimal inconvenience to you.
- Make a list of bills you pay online with your Animas accounts. It will come in handy when you set up recurring bill payments in SLFCU’s online banking system and for updating websites on which you have stored card information. Your SLFCU debit and credit cards will have different numbers.
- If you have bill payments, internal transfers (within your accounts), or member-to-member transfers scheduled to occur in Animas online banking on July 1, reschedule them to occur on or before June 30 in the Animas system or plan to schedule them on July 2 or later in the SLFCU system. You may also choose to pay them by an alternate method.
- Note that SLFCU’s online banking system and mobile app take a “person-centric” view of accounts. This means primary and joint owners can view and transact upon their shared accounts. If you wish to review the ownership structure of an account (for which you are the primary owner) prior to consolidation and potentially open an alternative account, please contact us before June 30.
- For your own recordkeeping, consider printing a list of your bill payees and your bill pay history from Animas online banking. This information will not move over to the SLFCU Pay Bills system.
