You may be surprised to learn that SLFCU membership is open to more people than you thought. For example, the following individuals are eligible to apply to join, giving them access to the same credit union benefits.
IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS
Whether residing together or not, spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, and grandchildren of SLFCU members can apply for membership. This definition does not extend to relatives by marriage, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, however.
HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS
Those who reside and maintain a single economic unit with a person who is eligible for Credit Union membership or is already an SLFCU member can apply. This encompasses domestic partners or any other individuals who are permanent household members and/or who participate in maintaining a household.
