MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO JUST ABOUT EVERYONE
- An easy way to become eligible to apply for SLFCU membership is to become a member of the American Consumer Council (ACC). Membership is free, and SLFCU will process your membership for you. The ACC is a non-profit consumer education, advocacy, and financial literacy organization.
- Current and retired employees of more than 1,400 SLFCU partner companies and their family and household members can apply for membership. Call us at 505.293.0500 or 800.947.5328 or visit any branch to check if your employer is a partner company.
- Family and household members of current members can apply. (More information below.)
- Anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Valencia County, New Mexico can apply.
- Individuals in Edgewood, NM and surrounding areas who receive their electric power from Central New Mexico Electric Coop (CNMEC) or who receive water from Entranosa Water Association (EWWA) can apply.
- Members of the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History or the Albuquerque International Association can apply (membership fees apply for these organizations).
FAMILY & HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS
- Immediate family includes spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild whether or not living in the same residence.
- Household members are individuals living at the same residence and maintaining a single economic unit with someone eligible for credit union membership. This includes domestic partners or any other person who is a permanent member of or participates in the maintenance of the household.
Relatives by marriage, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles are not directly included in this definition. For example, for your nephew to join, his father or mother (your brother or sister) must first become a member.
